Need Help Spreading the Word:

1) Create a FB page – something like “Find (insert name here)”, Missing Child (insert name here)”, “Help Find (insert name here)” or “(Instert Name) is Missing”. FB is a great way to find support in helping to spread the word and fliers for your missing loved one.

2) Create and Distribute Flyers. Fliers can be instrumental in spreading awareness. Be sure to include: Picture, age, name, date missing, circumstances (if available and permitted by law enforcement). contact information for tips and info, location missing from, vehicle descriptions if applicable.

3) NamUs – Is a database and search tool available to family and Law Enforcement. The site lists the details of the missing person and the circumstances as well as provides links to Unidentified persons.

4) Notify the media – all local (newspapers and TV especially). If they aren’t interested and this is a serious missing persons case – then get supporters to help you to make them interested. Enough pressure and you WILL get some coverage.

5) NCMEC – Mission statement for National Center for Missing and Exploited Children: The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, (NCMEC), is a private, (501)(c)(3) nonprofit organization which was created in 1984. The mission of the organization is to serve as the nation’s resource on the issues of missing and sexually exploited children. The organization provides information and resources to law enforcement, parents, children including child victims as well as other professionals.
